Pakhtakor celerated its first gold medals in Uzbekistan championship 25 years ago.
In November 1991, Pakhtakor was headed by the Russian specialist Alexander Tarkhanov. He began to form a team to take part in the planned CIS championship, and attracted strong players. And on March 28, 1992 was held the first round of the first championship of Independent Uzbekistan. On the field the team came out under the head of Akhrol Inoyatov.
For that season, Pakhtakor scored almost a hundred goals. The topscorer of the first championship of Uzbekistan has been player of Pakhtakor Valery Kechinov, who scored 24 goals. As a result of the vote of journalists, he was named the best player of the season.
On November 1, 1992 Pakhtakor played its last game of the season. Then the team won at home Kasansaychi with a score of 7-2. The club scored the same number of points with the Neftchi from Fergana (51) and shared the championship title.
